Shoreview is located just ten miles north of Saint Paul and it includes 11 lakes, 15 parks and more than 1100 acres of open spaces. In 2008, Shoreview ranked fourth in a Family Circle list of best family towns. There has been an emphasis on establishing a first-rate park system, interconnecting trails and recreations facilities. The City of Shoreview features the Shoreview Community Center that has a large leisure pool, whirlpool, 3-story waterslide, state of the art fitness center and much more. The Shoreview Community Center offers social, recreational, entertainment, and civic activities throughout the year. Shoreview also hosts many special events from music series to outdoor movies to Farmers’ Market and much more.

Shoreview is a part of Mounds View and Roseville School Districts and both are highly-regarded, nationally recognized public school districts. St. Odilia’s Catholic Private School is also located in Shoreview. Mounds View School District is comprised of six elementary schools (grades K-5), three middle schools (grades 6-8) and two high schools (grades 9-12) while Roseville School Districts are comprised of eight elementary schools (grades K-5), one middle school (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
