Historic and beautiful Stillwater is a dynamic and growing community located just 20 miles east of downtown St. Paul. Stillwater is nestled into the bluffs of the St. Croix River, one of America’s most protected Wild and Scenic Waterways. Stillwater is considered the historic birthplace of Minnesota. Stillwater Area Public Schools is comprised of one early childhood family center (birth-5 years old), ten elementary schools (K-6), two junior high schools (grades 7-9), one high school (10-12), and one alternative learning center. The Stillwater Schools offer the best of both worlds as it is large enough to provide a wide variety opportunities for students but still maintains a personal and individualized education.
